About mel

Writing about myself is so awkward.  But you asked, so here goes…

I stumbled into this in 2013 when my nest emptied. The youngest of my two sons headed east to play football at the University of Kentucky. My oldest son was in LA, living his dream of working in the film industry. My full-time job was done, and I was lost.  

I did a lot of soul searching, reflecting and ended up returning to what had always been there for me, through the best and the worst of times. And there have been plenty of both over my six decades here. But I’ll share that another time. 

Writing, creating and connecting – my big three. I started journaling, which lead to storytelling, creating content and the rest – well here I am. And here you are, I’m so glad. I’ve found, through all of this that together is better. It’s a lot more fun, that’s for sure. 

These past few years I’ve met incredibly talented, inspiring people, and together we’ve done some pretty cool stuff. Caren Glasser interviewed me on her Author Spotlight podcast, and we knew that something special had begun. Last year we launched Life Uncorked - a 55+ travel & lifestyle platform. I have ventured into the romance genre and am completing the Running With Our Eyes Closed Trilogy, getting it ready for film adaptation. 

The thread that weaves my work together is that we are strong, passionate souls and our age is irrelevant. It’s the energy we give to the life we dream of and it’s here… now…
